The name sounded funny that is all.Apple uses various brands and charges to much for their ram which is absurd in my opinion compared to 3rd party brands.

Apple charges what people will pay for it. It seems outrageous, but to pass along warranties, quality, etc. most people charge a premium for relatively inexpensive parts. If a consumer doesn't feel it is appropriate they have the freedom to go to other providers. Apple respects this.

yeah I have had that happen more then once
At least you gave them a honest option. That is a good salesperson in my opinion. Not forcing them with something always .
