+1

I was holding off buying one until they fixed this issue. Looks like it's time to head down to the Apple Store now.

Great news indeed! I can't wait to get home from work and get it installed. I think this bug was the only thing holding back the Mac mini from being perfect. I also feel safer recommending it to friends and family now.

There were also some issues being reported about washed out looking colors. Any news if this update corrects that as well? I've been holding off upgrading because of the HDMI issues being reported. I really want one bad for Logic, PS and Aperture though.

Don't ask my why, but I never had any issues with flickering or black screens. I'm glad they released the update though. It sort of puts questions about it being an unfixable hardware issue to rest.

It looks to be working. I haven't had a single flicker since updating.

Four hours running and not a single blink or flicker. I think the fix works.

This is the nicest thing about owning a Mac. Sure there are issues once in a while, but usually they get fixed.

This issue had me holding off, but not anymore. I ordered a Core i7 Mac mini with a Fusion Drive earlier this evening. It will be my fourth Mac mini purchase of all time. I can't wait to get it!

This update worked for me. I no longer have flickering or going to black every couple hours. I also seem to have better color saturation than before. So thanks for restoring my faith Apple! The Mac mini is once again an excellent product.

I have no snow or flickering after the update.

I'm just glad that I held out and didn't return it. This is one little gem of a computer.

Does the improved colors survive after waking up your Mini from sleep? I've heard others complain about this. There's hope that the color problem will be solved with the Mac OS X 10.8.3 update.

Yes. I would say there is still a little room for improvement though. Which may come with the 10.8.3 update like you are saying. But mine is pretty darn good man. Especially with adjustments in Displays and on my TV through the picture controls.
