Hi
Ever since I bought my 2010 iMac, I sort of forgot about my 2007 Mac mini. Yesterday, I thought about hooking it to my Sony Bravia in the living room and use it as a media center, using the DVI/VGA port.
Everything went well except for one thing. With the 1920x1080 resolution, I get a full screen. Everything is OK for movies and such but reading stuff using any other software, is hardly possible for my old eyes unless I come much closer to the TV. On the other hand, with a lower resolution, I just can't get a full screen.
Am I missing something or is there something I can do about it ? _________________ iMac 2010, 21.5", 8Gb of RAM

Your teevee is not a monitor. It might have bigger pixels, but I would iMagine that you are used to reading text that is at most an arms length away. When you suddenly try and read text at 10 feet, it's not going to be as easy. You could increase the font size(usually CMD and +).

Thanks for your reply
My 2010 iMac is also hooked to a Sony Bravia TV and I don't experience the same problem. True, this older model only support a 1360X768 resolution but I do get a full screen display that I can read from a few feet. _________________ iMac 2010, 21.5", 8Gb of RAM

A different display that only supports 1360 by 768? I'm slightly confused...

My iMac is hooked up to second monitor, an older Bravia model. The higher resolution of this second monitor is 1360X768. Sorry, that's the best way I can explain it. _________________ iMac 2010, 21.5", 8Gb of RAM
