I can't believe Hostess went out of business! How am I ever going to live without CupCakes, Ding Dongs, Ho Hos and mini chocolate donuts? Otherwise know as the breakfast of champions. What a bummer!

It's a strong possibility that because those items are too strong of a brand, that when they go on the auction block, some company will pick them up and produce them.

Probably. I just hope they all taste the same.
I think it's sad to see another American company fail. It almost seems like Foxconn needs to make your product to succeed today. Twinkies made in China. Can you imagine the shelf lifespan of those suckers?
Oh well, I'm just glad that Hostess doesn't make my favorite treat. That would be peanut butter Kandy Kakes from Tastykake. In fact, I can't wait to go back north for Xmas. It can be hard finding them down here.

http://hostessbrands.com/Closed.aspx | Some billion dollar Mexican business might buy them I read. Keep the faith and you might have them once again in your house soon. |

Classic!
It sounds like Hostess might make in now though. A judge forced them into more talks with the union. I'm starting to think this is what they wanted all along though. The union will be more willing to give now.

| Maybe this mediation will resolve this problem and thousands of people will not lose their jobs hopefully. The economy cannot afford this now. |

I have feeling they are going to either accept a cut in pay/benefits or be looking for work. Read a story that Bimbo out of Mexico was ready to pounce and buy it, then make them in Mexico and ship them back to the US.
