A little more information would be good.
What are you experiencing? The HD is not particular to Mac Minis, they are the same mechanical drives that you will find around the computer world. Being mechanical and prone to eventual failure, they occasionally fail.

I am always fearful that this HD would crash and I would lose over 3500 songs alone. I have brown outs here where i live a lot.Thanks |

I would suggest a backup of your data which you probably already have; redundancy is your friend. Also with the power issues you might also want to consider a backup power supply.
