| Why aren't 3TB drives offered as an option on the Mac Mini like they are on the iMacs? Doesn't make sense. |

On the contrary it makes perfect sense. Mac Minis take 2.5" hard drives whereas the iMac fits a 3.5" hard drive. _________________ Laptop - 2007 Macbook 2.16Ghz, 2GB RAM 500GB 7200RPM HDD

Fair question.
As mdgm mentioned, the iMac uses a 3.5" (desktop) drive, the mini uses a 2.5" (laptop) drive
Currently there are no 3TB 2.5" hard drives. As far as I know 1TB is the largest 2.5" drive currently available and even at that, it runs at 5,400 RPM. You can get 750GB 2.5" 7,200RPM drives.
2.5" drives always lag behind 3.5" drives as far as storage space and speed is concerned. |

That's true for hard drives. However SSDs (e.g. 2.5" ones) are much faster than 3.5" hard drives but if you need lots of internal storage SSDs are very expensive and again like 2.5" hard drives top out at about 1TB, I think. _________________ Laptop - 2007 Macbook 2.16Ghz, 2GB RAM 500GB 7200RPM HDD
