HELP TO UN-HACK MY MINI

Thanks for your patients and for the help. One more question........In order to down-load "Little Snitch" I have to go on line. Sounds like I will be taking a chance on giving out more of my private data? but this is the chance I have to take, right? What about down-loading it to a memory stick on my other computer and then transferring it to the Mini off line? Will that work?

If you have another Mac that would work.
If you do that with a PC it probably won't
work. Its worth a try though.

It sounds like your AOL account was compromised, not your Mac mini. I have no idea how it can be anything other than that as AOL has no way to fix your mini.

Because you are uncertain, I suggest backing up anything on the computer that is important to you. Then restore your computer back to factory condition and reinstall your data.

This is the only FREE way I know for you to guarantee you do not have spyware/malware on your computer.


Your other option is to take it into Apple Authorized service center and have them perform this for you. My shop would charge 1 hr labor. $95. You'll need to inquire with your local service center for their rate.

Again I thank you for your help. I haven't had any time to try out any of your good suggestions due to an unexpected car breakdown and sickness in the family but I will get to it eventually and post the results here.

By the way, thanks for the dope on AOL. What's a better messenger service that will support the Mac iSight camera?

The Screen Shot edited down in size
is nothing more than a "photograph"
of your filled out Password Form. Its
saved as a pdf or JPG.

Their isn't anything their thats hackable.
The only way someone can retrieve
your Password is by actually seeing
the Image of your Password and
knowing its an image of your Password
for whatever site its a Password for.

99% of Passwords wil reveil themselves
when you put your cursor on the filled
out Password Field. I take a timed Screen
Shot with my cursor on the Password
Field.

Yep, for me its been very rare for a web site
not to reveal my password while I'm typing
it out. When I finish, I take a Timed Screen Shot
with my cursor in the Password Field and its
exposed.
