| Has anyone tried to use the Dictation speech recognition facility in Mountain Lion on their Mac Mini yet? Clearly you need to buy a mic and a little amp in order to plug a mic into USB port - but does it then work as well as apparently it does on the iMAC? |

| I am replying to my own post. Dictate does indeed work fine on mac mini. I am using a Logitech USB microphone headset. I had some trouble getting it to work at first until I realised that you have to press the command (Apple) key twice in succession quickly! As if you were clicking a mouse. In order to open the microphone window. Pretty basic problem, but got there in the end! |

Yeah, it's a little confusing at first how to get it working. It works great though. It's very accurate and responsive. You know, it just amazes me how far this technology has come. Remember the days of learning your voice and stuff just to get it working? Google and Apple (through acquired technology) have made them go bye-byes. It's totally ready for prime time now.
