Apple has posted a complete list of Macs that are capable of running Mountain Lion. According to the list, your Mac must be one of the following models to run the operating system after it's released this month:
- iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
- MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
- MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
- MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
- Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
- Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
- Xserve (Early 2009)
More information about upgrading to Mountain Lion can be found from the link above.

I made the cut with a 2009 Mac mini, but it's a shame they cut a lot of Macs that were fine with Lion. I guess they are just "vintage" now. |

| yes and no in testing people found that apple rigged the system requirements because they where able to install it on a core duo machine and it worked just fine apple just wants people to upgrade to get the best experience possible |

| Dang! I make the cut for ML but I don't for airplay mirroring. The main thing I was looking forward too. I'm only gonna upgrade if I hear ML is more efficient now from a trusted source who uses older minis. I think SL will become a collectors item. |
