Anyone else heard much on the APC? It's a board running a VIA 800MHz CPU, 512MB DDR3 RAM, 2GB NAND Flash built in with up to 720p HDMI out as well as VGA (also up to 720p), 10/100 Ethernet, Micro SD(HC) slot, 4 USB 2.0 ports and Audio out and Mic in. The platform is called "Neo-ITX" the idea is it's 170mm x 85mm v Mini ITX which uses 170mm x 170mm boards so I cheaper to produce (double the bare boards for similar cost). This is being considered a Raspberry Pi alternative and for $49 it's certainly a nice alternative to the $35 R-Pi, especially as it has on board flash and the VGA out certainly helps people use it with older monitors, also the R-Pi is taking a while to ship.
I do like the idea of this size board as it could only further the reduction of computer size, especially if someone used laptop components, if the Ethernet port was not stacked over the USB and the Audio done horizontal you could make it slimmer and still have enough height to mount a 2.5" drive or two in front of the board. One big thing against it is the 720p, this will be where the R-Pi fans will attack the APC, but the use of VGA and the on-board flash could make this a much better platform for people wanting to do android development.

More information for anyone interested is at apc.io
