When I play full screen games on my Mac Mini the fan starts to be extremelly annoying and noisy.
As soon as I quit the game everything is back to normal.
My mini is the most maxed out version you can get, dual core i7, 8GB RAM, SSD drive, Thunderbolt and ATi graphics.
My machine is usually dead silent due to the SSD drive, so it is really bugging me that it gets super noisy when I play games
Is there something wrong with the cooling of my machine, specially the graphics card maybe? _________________ :apple: Mac Mini DualCore i7 :: 2.7GHz :: 2x4GB DDR1867 :: 2x Intel520 240GB SSD for total 480GB :: Radeon HD 6630m :: Dell 2209WA :: Razer Mamba 2012 :: Apple Alu wired US keyboard w/ iSkin ProTouch black :: |

No, not to worry, it is functioning normally. The discrete GPU and i-CPUs run warm and the fan is just doing it's job. Loud, but the alternative would be unfortunate. My QC MBP chugs under graphics work and QC Mini on Handbrake encodes. _________________ 2.0 GHz i7 Mini 8 GB RAM, OWC Merc Extreme SSD & Samsung Spinpoint
