hello i did a fresh install of snow leopard 10.6.8 on my apple mac mini 80 gb and i have used a cyclone 1 tb external hard drive for my time machine backup,on the cyclone i can the backups i have done,when i go to time machine and go to the day i want and click on say applications the restore does not highlight so i can not use it,if i open applications to have a look some of the applications like iphoto are grey,any ideas how i can restore please as i have got a lot of photos on iphoto ?

Have you tried booting to the Snow Leopard DVD and restoring from there? _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)
4GB iPod mini / 2G iPod shuffle / 16GB iPhone 3G

i did see something that said put in the dvd and go to utilities and restore but when i put in the dvd i cannot see utilities?

i found utility and restored but when the system comes up it says do a restart and when i do it just keeps saying do a restore,any ideas what to do to bring the system back up please?

| all ok i rebooted with disk in and holding the alt key and the reinstalled the system. |
