I always thought that the latest 2011 Minis could not run Snow leopard, which was why I hesitated to buy one, as I'm not sold on Lion. But I booted one from an external Firewire drive running Snow leopard & it seems to be working just fine so far. So couldn't I just clone the external to the internal & run Snow? _________________ If Keith can still rock, so can I. |

| You could, but I'd run off of the external for a while and make sure you are satisfied. You are the first person, I have heard of running SL on a 2011 mini without issue. That being said, I don't know the specific issues people were having. |

I think there were networking issues or something like that. I believe there is a thread here somewhere that covers it.
And it's your thread!

| I would have been perfectly happy to own a 2011 mini IF it could run 10.6.8 reliably, but from what I understand it can not. |
