Tatung has some nice 15" touchscreen displays. There's also a company called Doublesight that makes some nice little 7-9" displays. There's even one with a built-in webcam. They are USB powered though.

Another option would be to use an iPad with a VNC type based client.
I've found that Splashtop works quite well.

Grasshopper,
Thanks so much. I downloaded Splashtop, and---at first blush, at least---it looks really great. |

Im looking at a mini monitor and I'm considering the Toshiba 14" USB Monitor.
Which one did you pick and how is it working for you?
Thanks, |

Splashtop is good software, but isn't appropriate as an only monitor. I haven't actually purchased a separate monitor yet.
I will be interested in your reactions when and if you do. |

|

Ok,
So I've been trying to find reviews by people who have actually used the Toshiba 14" USB Monitor with Mac products and I finally found some!!!
Here is the link to read the reviews:

I think I'm going to step out and try one...
The most common con I see is that the brightness is "ok" using only the usb without using the power adapter.
Check it out and let me know what you think.
I'll update once I receive mine and try it out!
Oh yeah, one bit of advice given if trying this monitor...download and install a driver from DisplayLink.com BEFORE plugging in and trying the monitor. |

I'm very interested in your experience. The Display Link
software on a Mac doesn't (I think) support Flash and
such on a Mac. As soon as you use it, please go to Youtube
and try playing something. Also, try playing a DVD with
the Player for it on the Toshiba Display. What happens?
Does it work well?
