2011 Mac Mini 8GB or 16GB RAM?

After looking around a little longer, I have found a Corsair Vengeance set called CMSX16GX3M2A1600C10.

The thing is, it does not show up on Corsairs own site - but it can be found in hardware stores here and there online + on eBay.

As far as I know its a 2x8GB set, 1.600 MHz, CL10.

Anyone know this set and if it's for real?
Here in Denmark it cost close to $175, wich is not so bad so I'm thinking about giving it a shot, buying a set and see what shows up...

the crucial will fit I think the corsair is 240 pin a no go.

50 50 chance one good review one bad, but it will fit your mini.

When I get the mini I think I till give them a shot, I have used Corsair RAM in most of my systems and they have never disappointed me.

I ordered the new i7 build-to-order yesterday, so should have it within 2 weeks from now...

HI there,
my first post here.

I have had my 2011 2.7ghz i7 8gb ram 7200rpm HD mac mini since July last year.

I run Logic pro with it and its very good.

I tried 16gig of ram in it for a while and it didnt make any difference at all.

It was Ram from OWC.

My conclusion is that the CPU is not fast enough to utilize 16gig of ram.

BUT posts in forums indicate that

the 2.0ghz i7 quad core mini does have the CPU to utilize the Ram hike from 8gig to 16gig.

Maybe the new ram from crucial

will be a better one for the 2.7 i7 mini.

Received my new i7 MM yesterday with the original 4GB RAM in (and 5400rpm hdd), omg its slooow.... Was used to having 8GB and two hybrid 7400 rpm momentus xt in raid0. Ordered the Vengeance ram from Corsair in 16GB just now, expect to have them beginning next week - will report back when i know if they work.
