Didn't see this make any headlines here at 123Macmini, so thought I would bring it to everyone's attention! Looks like a great update... hope to hear everyone's feedback on any encoding performance increases.
MakeMKV blu-ray rips seem to be flying on my i7 MB Air. Am about to do some testing with my 2009 Mini later tonight.

Thanks I got it few days ago, it seems that there is a problem of compatibility with the new version of VLC. _________________ Mac Mini i5 2.5 GHZ, 16GB Ram.

There is no compatibility issue with VLC.

Thanks for bringing it up. I agree it should have made the news.
We'll cut the admins a break this time
It's nice to see that Handbrake is still being developed. I've seen a few negative comments on other forums about the lack of a 1.X designation after all this time. I found this a little annoying, being that there has never been a requirement for payment since its inception in 2003.
There is a saying in the programming industry along the lines of "a programmer would never release software, because there will always be some bugs, issues or things that could be improved upon." It's usually the marketing department that makes the decision to "when" to release the software. Call it whatever you want, I'm just glad to see updates.
The wiki is a short, interesting read. I suggest you take a look.
New programmers have taken on the project, so hopefully Handbrake continues to be developed for many years to come.

They have been releasing updates the whole time of course. It's just that only the milestone releases get version numbers, where as the nightly releases are just numbered.

Thanks I had the previous version which did not worked. Downloaded the update, it did not work as well.
Before reading your respponse, I deleted VLC 2.0, restarted the new version of Handbracke. Then after putting a DVD I downloaded libdvdcss and VLC 2.0
And......It is working now... _________________ Mac Mini i5 2.5 GHZ, 16GB Ram.
