|
|
| Hi, My early 09 mini has been running SL since it came out and generally without significant issue with the trash bin. However until recently, the trash bin started to behave strangely that when right clicked, the "empty trash" option grey out and the files in the trash bin can't be emptied/deleted (I have checked the files are growing there as I continued to move unneeded files but couldn't empty the bin). Any idea and help? Thanks |

First of all reboot... just to make sure you don't have any applications running, that may be associated with items in the trash.
then:
Click on the Finder icon
Click on the word Finder up in the top left
Press and hold the "option" key.
Notice how Empty Trash symbols change when you press the option key
Empty Trash
It that doesn't work, follow the directions in the link below

| Thanks, Bill. It works with holding "option" key and choosing "empty trash". |
