Here I go Again! I got a nice deal on a Powermac G5 1.8 & I would like to Upgrade the AGP Graphics Card. I have a Card that the sites say will work, but since it came out of my PC, they talk about needing to Flash The Card first. The procedure is a long winded one & I'm wondering if this is really needed. I don't want to just put the card in the G5 & have something fail. BTW. the Graphics Card is a Geforce 6200 DDR2 256MB AGP. The other thing that concerns me is the G5 takes DDR PC3200 Ram & this Graphics Card is DDR2. Will that make a difference? So does anyone have experience on this sort of thing? I would appreciate the Help. Thanks in advance. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

Post your question in the mac pro section on the macrumors forum. Lots on info/help on card flashing. There is also a thorough guide to flashing posted by one of the more knowledgeable contributors. Good luck. _________________ Mac Pro 4,1 12GB ram

Thanks I posted this a week ago. So I figured out how to Flash with a Floppy. Still could not get any PC's to boot from the Thumb Drive I made. So I flashed the Card & all works. I tried to Flash a Radeon 9600 & the ATIFlash would not fit on the Floppy, so back to the Non Booting Thumb Drive. No Dice! _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD
