I would hold off until the LGA-2011 set up becomes a bit more common, and prices come down on mobos and CPUs.
I would definitely check on the reviews of HTPC cases. Some are not well designed, and can be a real pain to put together.

| Yeah, the Ivy Bridge i7 chips are awesome. I've actually been thinking about building a new PC with one inside. You certainly can't go wrong with a Lian Li case either. That being said, I think Moneual is where I'd be heading on that side of things. Their 932 and 972 cases just make me drool. |

I like the Moneual 972 series of cases.
