| I read an article this day that starting approximately 01/01/2012 both Seagate and WD are going to decrease the warranty to one year on some of their drives. Seagate is lowering the Momentus and WD the Blue to one or two years. the Scorpio is supposed to stay 5 years. tom d |

That bites. Though Seagate could go to 0 and I couldn't care less, after losing 3 drives over the years I don't trust Seagate anymore. So far (knock on wood) my WD drives haven't choked but I RAID all of my data now.
