I was able to sell my old 2006 CD Mac mini and 2008 C2D MacBook Pro before we moved. Here's what the proceeds went towards. My first Apple purchase in the south. Yeehaw!
It's the 15" 2.2GHz with a 256GB SSD, 8GB of RAM and anti-glare screen. Yeah, I still went with the anti-glare screen.
Loving it so far! It's the fastest Mac I've ever owned. Things load in a blink with the SSD. It's also as quiet as a church mouse.
I'm still adjusting to the button-less trackpad though. It's kinda weird coming from the single button down below.

That's quite the smokin' notebook. Even a gamer would drool over it.
Very nice!
Hopefully things are going well for you. It sounds like they are. |

Thanks! It's a really nice machine, so I should be sitting pretty for the next couple years. Plus, I will still have a 2010 Mac mini hooked to the old ACD for music stuff.
Everything is going pretty good otherwise. I've actually had the week off to unpack and get situated. We are staying in a condo for six months until we close on a house and do a little remodeling. It's a really an exciting time for me. Tiring, but exciting.
Hope all is well up there in the great white north! |

Thanks! The same to you too.
Don't go and think I'm doing super well financially though. I did luck out and sell two Macs to go towards the new one. I actually sold a leather recliner as well.
Still loving the new MBP. This is my first experience with a unibody model and I'm so impressed with the build quality. It's really solid. I mean, everything feels tight and the ports keep your cables in so well. I would actually have cables slip out of my old one. They also wiggled back and fourth. The glass trackpad also feels better and doesn't flex as much.
Going to do that now Fox. |

Devo, Welcome To The South! I'm a transplanted New Yorker myself! I'd keep the NY in your Profile though. NY sounds & is more happening & much cooler than most places. LMAO! _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

Devo, You must be in Ft Lauderdale, Miami or Tampa. I'm on the other side. "Redneck Riviera". _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

Wow, I hope I could have one too in the future! That's one fantastic mac! It will definitely be the next one on my wish list. I am saving up for an iPad later this year. My saving is slowly, but surely. |
