I had the Magic Trackpad working on my 2011 mini running Lion, and I had full compatibility; at least any gesture I tried worked as it should. For what it's worth, I no longer have that trackpad; I traded it for a Magic Mouse. What I preferred about the mouse is more precision placement of the cursor in a text document; I just never adjusted to the trackpad for this purpose, and most of what I do is work with text documents. I think that this is why a lot of laptop owners use an external mouse instead of the built-in trackpad. _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT

Thanks for the reply. I wonder if one could run a trackball and a trackpad.
And if so, would there be an advantage for a 'power user'?
NOTE : I have for years used a trackball as opposed to a mouse and even tho' I am
right-handed, I use the trackball with my left just as easily... _________________ Programmer 25 years. Web programming 16.

I still use my mouse with the trackpad so I don't expect any problems with a trackball. I prefer the mouse for most things and just use the trackpad for the gestures. _________________ Phil

Yep, no problem running multiple pointing devices. I also had a mouse and trackpad running at the same time on my mini. There is even freeware available that lets you use a given gesture in different ways on two "magic" devices. _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT
