the fastest solution so far is to own this macbook pro

then find someone that purchased one before lion came out and back grade the software to snow it runs snow leopard at more then twice the speed of a mac mini.

geekbenches 8800 for snow and for lion, price just dropped to 1359 on apple refurb.

1359 plus tax is a lot. very few people need the speed.

heck with careful shopping you can get a 2009 mac pro and it is just as fast. with a ton of upgrade choices
