|
|
Here is a weird one. In the dock, my finder icon is missing. There is a blank space at the far left of the dock (and the little black triangle is there to show that it is running), but it is just empty space there. Also, when I alt-tab (well, it 's "window_key-tab" with this keyboard), the finder icon is missing as well.
Various reboots, relaunching of the Finder, etc have not made a difference.
The finder is fully function asside from this weird issue... _________________ -=iMav=-

Try Command-Option-Escape click Finder and relaunch...see what happens! _________________ 14" 1.25GHz G4 iBook (died)

I've done that several times already. I've also whacked the Finder preferences plist file and rebooted with no affect... _________________ -=iMav=-

The Finder icon exists with other users...just not under my account. _________________ -=iMav=-

Nope!
It does not affect functionality at all...just a little annoying
Pretty sure it is specific to my user, so I may just blow my account away and recreate it. _________________ -=iMav=-

| Just out of curiosity can you create another account and see if it appears there? I can't see why it wouldn't but if it doesn't appear you may have a bigger issue. |

I remember when I lost my icon for Solitaire back when I had my Compaq all in one. I called tech support up and they helped me find sol.exe and put it back |

I had a crazy thing happen to me the other day! The mouse buttons switched places, the left was right and the right was the left. I uninstalled the Logitech mouse drives and re-installed them without any luck. I then proceeded to check the USB cable to see if it was loose, but it wasn't. Rebooted three of four times without any change. I decided to take my dog for a walk because I was so frustrated. Came back in the house 20 minutes later, turned on the computer and everything was fine. I swear to god there must be little computer gremlins! _________________ 14" 1.25GHz G4 iBook (died)
