Mini Display Adapter + Thunderbolt HD?

Hope someone can help.

I'm the proud owner of a mid 2011 Mini (as per signature) and am currently using a mini display-VGA converter to connect a VGA monitor, through the thunderbolt port. Question is: If I were to purchase a thunderbolt external HDD such as the LaCie Little Big Disk, is it possible to daisy chain my mini display onto the back of it? For exampe mac mini>-------HDD>------mini display>

Some might say "get a digital monitor before adding extra storage", but I like to be different

Renton there should be no issue chaining a VGA monitor to the end of the chain with a mini display port to VGA adapter.

The only reason I say "should" is... until I've seen it, I don't want to say "for sure".
