LaCie has announced the release of LaPlug, a new device that allows users to share any USB hard drive or thumb drive over a local network. According to the company, the device also offers a convenient way to access data, at home or on the go, as well as share personal files such as vacation or birthday photos with family and friends. Additionally, the LaPlug can stream multimedia content and back up multiple computers to one central location, which includes streaming to iTunes and backing up Macs with Time Machine. The LaPlug from LaCie is priced at $74.99.

| Nice option for those who do not want a Time Capsule or already own external hard drives. |

Looks pretty neat. The price isn't all that bad either. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

in looking at it you can do wireless or wired. you can attach 4 usb drives to it. if it works well it is pretty much a nas that can do 8tb or more. not bad at all. _________________ 2010 Mm 2.4 C2D oem 320gb hdd 8gb ram

| The price really isn't bad at all, especially if it works with Time Machine. I've been thinking of getting a Time Capsule or Mac Mini server again (I've had both in the past, but am stuck with a Windows server now) - this seems like a good option. |
