Remember, I'm new in apple word and I'm interesting in learn everything about apple. I have my first mac system with my mac mini but I read here a lot about apple TV but I don't read any place for what is this.

It's a low cost device for watching content on your television.

You can either rent(or buy) content from Apple, or you can convert content that you have to work with it.

Worth noting is the Apple TV 2 has limited internal storage so all the media you intend to watch has to be streamed to it either from another computer on your network or from the internet.
