|
|
I am a linux user and developer considering getting a mac mini. I am reliant on
a number of *nix tools like mutt, midnight commander and vim.
I believe that I will face a learning curve in implementing those on a mac.
Is there a forum or mailing list designed specifically for Mac command line questions?
thanks

I'm not aware of any particular forum or mailing list dedicated to the BSD terminal commands, but Mac OS X Hints(absorbed by MacWorld) is very terminal oriented.

Make sure it has pins! |

You shouldn't have any issues getting those tools on OS X (and some, like vim, are already there). _________________ -=iMav=-

a few years ago, MC is already there also. I would want to custom compile vim to
include the python interpreter, but I'm guessing that this would be as doable as on
linux.
I appreciated all of the feedback. As soon as I post this, I will look for the forum
tool to mark this thread as solved.
cheers

There is no tool to mark the thread as 'solved.' The best you might be able to do is edit the title.
