One day last week we had a power outage, which turned off the G4 mini connected to my HDTV. Today i turned on the mini and only getting a small folder with a blinking question mark. If I remember, power outages has happen before and this didn't happen, the mini came back on normally.
I'm running Tiger 10.4.11.
Any idea what may have happen and how it can be fixed?
Thnx. _________________ G4 Mac Mini | 1.25ghz | 1gb | 40gb | OS X 10.4.11 | 37" Westinghouse HDTV

Agreed - sounds like you've got a corrupted System Folder on your HD at the very least. At the very worst, you've got a dead HD.
Try and startup from your restore DVD (hold down C as you startup) and see if you can run Disk Utility from the DVD - to try and repair your startup HD. _________________ Martin at HeadSpin HD now on Blu-ray |

Thanks guys, but I'm not sure what happen. I had an external hard drive connected and when I unplugged it and restarted, it booted without any issues. So far so good. _________________ G4 Mac Mini | 1.25ghz | 1gb | 40gb | OS X 10.4.11 | 37" Westinghouse HDTV
