Logitech Intros Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 for Mac

Logitech has announced the release of their Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 for Mac. This new solar-powered keyboard for Mac users comes in five colors (silver, black, blue, pink and green) and powers itself with ambient light. That means there's no need for direct sunlight and you'll never have to worry about changing batteries. In fact, the company says it can work for up to three months in total darkness with a full charge. Plus, you can download an application that gives you at-a-glance information about battery levels, and even alerts you when you need more light.

"We hear from consumers all the time that they want to see more Mac products from us," said Rory Dooley, Logitech senior vice president and general manager of the Control Devices business unit. "I'm proud to say we've listened, and are excited to offer one of our most innovative keyboards designed specifically for Mac users."

The Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 for Mac will be available later this month. It has a suggested retail price of $59.99.

Pretty cool. Would even be cooler if it had a multi-touch trackpad on the side instead of the number pad.

It would be even cooler if it was an actual bluetooth keyboard instead of using the logitech dongle.

+4 (the latter was 3, right?) Though the black one is pretty cool too... Actually the silver and the black ones are interesting, the others are pretty lame colors, not very "Mac-like" Laughing

I agree for the bluetooth part, however if it did it would cost probably more around the $100 mark instead of $60. And I don't know, maybe BT requires too much power? Question

I'm interested, as I already use a Logitech Performance MX mouse I won't need another dongle so its not a big deal to me. BT is nice, but not a deal killer in my situation. Since my S53 Keyboard is showing some wear this could be a nice replacement, but I've gotten accustom to using a set of volume like controls to scroll up and down using Spaces. That would be hard habit to break now.

I've read the new keyboard doesn't require the Logitech Control Center which is a plus.

My big concern is that Logitech and their attempt at tech support for the Mac line has gone to hell over the past few years, pretty much all but abandoned the Mac and online support pretty much tells you to suck it up. My mouse works fine but I won't be the first one to rush out and buy this keyboard until I here some feedback from other Mac users. Burned once by Logitech.
