I figured I would give this app a try because I don't like the way calendar looks with the leather plus I like tweaking things a bit. I already have a 2d dock if I didn't that would be cool as well. Also it's an easy way to get your user library folder back. Its a bit of a bummer that the font is still brownish in the calendar though. Anyways you can get the app here.

Here are the tweaks that you can do.
I took this screenshot ( poorly) of my calendar after using Lion Tweaks.
Well I hope this was helpful to anyone who likes to tweak there system a bit. |

Interesting; thanks for posting this. One thing I discovered about the Dock when I tried Lion on an external HD - my SL dock had been previously made 2-D with a freeware tweak. When I upgraded to Lion, it stayed that way. This means I would have to apply a tweak if I ever wanted it back to 3-D. _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT

Pretty cool.
I haven't had an opportunity to install Lion yet, but I'll definitely download this app when I do.
Thanks for sharing Ray. |

You guys are welcome. Fox my dock stayed 2d after the update as well. I had no dock but it reverted it to 2d. I had a black strip all the way across with the missing dock and changed the indicator light to little arrows. That program don't work I used to make it disappear with Lion. I believe the app that is making mine 2d now is "mirage". Not sure though I experimented a lot after seeing some very cool desktops. I thought I would give it a try too. I haven't used it to much but I believe "Geek Tool" still works. I got it off now till I get things how I like them and learn a little more about this OS. Then its tweak time.
A lot of people may not like launchpad but I am actually digging it now that I use it. Depends, if I want fast I use a stack list view, but for casually looking at apps its way better than trying to resize that window when the apps go way to far over to the right and you can't see them unless you resize. Of course you could always do list, but what's the sense when you can right in the dock.

Tinker tool is pretty cool too. If you want to change some font and your dock. I just reverted mine back to 3d to see if I could. Both tinker tool, and mirage worked for me.

Edit: Whooo hoooo mirage does work with Lion getting rid of the dock completely. I think I will turn on Geek tools now.
Here is what I was talking about. I will probably go back to the normal look for awhile seeing how it is "fresh" to me. I had different icons before and indicator lights for small triangles. It's nice to have the dock disappear if you got geek tool working for you. It can clash with the look sometimes. I'm just glad I have the option to tweak this OS.
