Apple has released the Migration Assistant Update for Mac OS X Snow Leopard via their Software Update Utility and website for direct download. According to the company, this update addresses an issue with the Migration Assistant application in Mac OS X Snow Leopard that prevents transfer of your personal data, settings, and compatible applications from a Mac running Mac OS X Snow Leopard to a new Mac running Mac OS X Lion. The update itself weighs in at 714KB and requires Mac OS X 10.6.8.

I've never used it, but downloaded it anyways. I wonder what time Lion will be released? I'm thinking early in the a.m. to minimize the hit on their servers.
