20 mins to boot? Something's wrong there? How much RAM is your mini showing? _________________ Martin at HeadSpin HD now on Blu-ray |

20 mins is a shocking, might be some serious issue. |

Somethings wrong. Return it and complain. Mine boots in under a minute for my VelociRaptor and under two minutes for a 7200 RPM disc.
Depending on the size of the update it would be very rare to need 30 minutes to complete an update but not impossible. I always use 123macmini's Updater Download link for my updates. Its not as buggy and faster. _________________ 2011 Mac mini 2.7 GHz i7 with

Mac Man, I have the 2010 Mac Mini, I read your post. I shut mine down, and restarted from shutdown to be able to click on the Firefox browser about 45 seconds. I grant you that I have 8 gb ram and a WB Black 500 gb Hd 7200 speed, double that for stock if you want, still 90 sec. Run don't walk, run back to the store.
