Hi All
Just purchased GarageBand 11,as my son has it on his I.Pad and i thought it was brill.
Problem is,plugged my guitar into the input on my mini mac,and got nothing.
Checked all settings as suggested in GB Help but nothing.
Any ideas please.

Now question!!!
i use my guitar with garageband it's a little complex to set up but i will walk you through it.
Here is what you need.
1. a usb Lightsnake (it is a usb to RCA connector for guitars)
2. the latest installed updates for garageband.
3. make sure your guitar is tuned.
1. Connect the u.s.b light snake into a free port on the mac you are using connect the other end to your guitar.
2. Start Up Garageband
3. Start A New Project
4. Once The new project is open and you are at the garageband screen click garageband preferences you will find garageband located in the upper left corner of the screen.
5. once in preferences click the audio midi tab and select audio input and set it to the usb light snake
congratulations you just set up your guitar for garageband nice work..
Now for part two.
how to use your guitar with garageband.
select track then new track it will then ask software instrument or real or electric guitar select electric guitar of course.
once selected you can click the amp picture located on the right of the screen to adjust the amps out put thats it. |
