Apple Updates Canon Printer Drivers for Snow Leopard

Apple has released the Canon Printer Drivers v2.6 for Snow Leopard via their Software Update Utility and website for direct download. According to the company, this update installs the latest software for your Canon printer or scanner. More information about the supported printers and scanners can be found here. The update itself weighs in at 307.39 MB and requires Mac OS X 10.6.1 or later.

Can i ask a most weird question????
Why install this update when you purchase a new canon printer it comes with the drivers and then you don't have to install worthless garbage on your macintosh like out of date drivers.. |

I would update because many of the drivers that come with printers are out-of-date. In fact, I usually don't install the drivers that come with the printer. The net in on way or the other is usually 6 months to a year ahead of what's in the box.
