A few days ago I got an update from Apple regarding security fixes for 10.5.8. Since then the Mail program hasn't acted the same as before. Now when I open Mail, after it has been quit, the mail page is a small rectangle instead of the large size that I had set to fit my monitor. I then must resize the page. It doesn't remember its previous size.
Yesterday and again today, Mail won't connect to my Hotmail account to send messages. I can't send messages with Mail using Hotmail. Yesterday Mail was able to send a message through Gmail. I haven't checked that yet today. I can go to Hotmail or live.com where Hotmail is operating these days, post the message, and it will be sent.
The protocols haven't been changed. I checked. Is anybody having a similar problem recently?
