Boxee Update Coming This Fall
Monday, June 13, 2011

Boxee today announced that an updated version of their media center software is coming out in the fall. The update is said to bring things more up to date with their software currently powering the Boxee Box. This basically means that users will be getting a better browser for surfing the web, improved playback and performance, and more content to watch.
"Good news for PC/Mac/Linux users - we are working to update the downloadable software version of Boxee and hope to have builds available this fall so you can enjoy the updated browser, improved playback, and lots more content that are currently available on the Boxee Box."
So, this really is good news for those you running or looking to run Boxee on your Mac mini for HTPC. We'll keep you posted as further news comes in about the update.

This is good news, but I still think they are putting too much behind the Boxee Box these days. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

| I don't care much for Plex or Boxee anymore. The original XMBC is where it's at in my book. Plus, the forums and stuff are more friendly. |
