| Has anyone here ever had any luck removing scratches from a sliding glass door? If so, how did you get them out? |

I haven't polished glass Devo (plenty of paint, but no glass), but there are glass polishing kits out there.

My guess is that you aren't going to have much luck (without practice).
Basically, the only way to remove a scratch is to remove the material surrounding a scratch, to the point that the scratch is no longer visible. Glass is extremely hard and difficult to polish.
A mild DIY product you can try is toothpaste.
How did the scratches get there? How bad are they? |

A friend of mine just walks through the door shattering it. New glass doesn't have scratches!

They are fairly deep. Not super deep though. Our old dog used jump up and scratch wanting to come inside. It wasn't a big deal back then, but now I'm expanding the room and moving the door to the other side. We are basically turning the room into a sun room. Now that I have the door out and in more light, the scratches are more noticeable. My wife thinks we should get a new french door back there, but I'm just looking to save some money.
I know glass is super hard to polish. I just wondered if anyone here had ever tried doing one up.
