NewerTech Intros NuPad Base for Mac mini

NewerTech today announced the release of their NuPad Base for the 2010 Mac mini. According to the company, this new accessory provides a flat, formfitting, non-skid rubber foot that eliminates the sliding and skidding that can occur from day to day use and access of a 2010 Mac mini. It also provides added anti-skid stability when two 2010 Mac minis are used in a stacked position on a desktop or when suspended under a desk, shelf or cabinet via their acrylic NewerTech NuShelf Dual Mount. The NewerTech NuPad Base is priced at $4.99.

| I actually wouldn't mind having one of these. The bottom of the new Mac mini doesn't hold you in place as well as it did before. |

I always put those clear little rubber bumpers on the bottom of my Mac minis. They stop them from sliding, add some room for ventilation, and raise them off the desk in case you spill something. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

I posted a video on my Youtube channel about this 9 months ago where I used those small rubber feet from under an old keyboard. Many people were so rude about it.

The material they used is just wrong. It needs more grip. Hopefully, they will address this with the next update. Which I'm hoping is soon. _________________ 2011 Mac mini with 8GB of RAM

| I wasn't aware the new minis were skidding across people's desks. What's happening, is the weight of the cables pulling them towards the back of the desk? |
