Ok!!!

Here we go..

i purchased another g5 powermac for use as a older classic gaming machine i have a belkin f5u220 usb card installed in the unit however i am having some issues the belkin f5u220 card has a internal usb port on it i heard you could plug a bluetooth adapter and even a wireless adapter into this port.

Tried both and nothing the port doesnt seem to function

my question is this a problem with leopard 10.5 or is this common for this port not to function????

I would think it's a mistake to try and put either a BT or a WiFi adapter INSIDE the G5 metal case. The metal case will very effectively shield the antenna - with little signal reaching outside.

Are the adapters seen under the System Profiler: USB ?

Do these adapters work on an EXTERNAL port on this card?
Does any other USB device work on this card?

Yes the external ports all function with this it's just the internal port doesnt i was hoping to do a new wireless mod to the unit by placing a usb or blue tooth adapter inside and soldering the attena wires into the usb bluetooth adapter or even the wireless adapter so that it would use the external attena jack on the back of the g5

Got It figured out!!!

i found out that leopard 10.5 doesnt like this model of usb card so i went and purchased a lacie usb 2.0 card instead it now works perfectly all i have to do it order my g5 attennas and that will be it.
