|

Hello again, I feel a bit of a wally about this but could someone help me?
I moved my itunes to an external HDD due to my internal HDD being too small, I have since upgraded my internal and I want to move the itunes back.
Itunes preferences tell me the following:
with the external drive ATTACHED the itunes media file is located:
/volumes/expansion D/new drive
with the external NOT ATTACHED the itunes media file is located:
/users/jps/music/itunes/itunes music
I don't want to lose all my music, and i have tried to 'point' to the correct media file (with no drive attached), only to get something along the lines of " the song you have chosen cannot be found -do you want to search for it"
Please help,
Thankyou in advance of this. |

When any external drive is disconnected (or dismounted) itunes will show the default setting for you music, even though nothing is there. Just add the new path to point itunes in the right direction and you'll be fine (advanced tab under preferences). You won't lose your music unless you tell itunes to delete it. _________________ Mac Pro 4,1 12GB ram
