Kernel Panic iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06

I got my first Kernel Panic yesterday. A mac User for 3 years. I'll post excerpts from it. I know nothing about this. Maybe someone knows how to read this & what it Means. Thanks.

PM your email address. I'll send you some technical info, that may help. Minimally, it will give you an idea of what you are facing.

The issue is either hardware related, OSX or third party software.

Most common issue is USB devices.

Never heard of a usb device causing a processor panic....

it's not the kernal thats causing the panic my guess would be the processor is locked and is trying to access restricted areas of the processor a lot of core 2 duo processors started receiving lockouts because intel wants users to pay to unlock there processors now.

i would have never thought a usb device would cause this???

Strange though it's saying the CPU Stoped responding which means the machine froze maybe updating to the latest version of 10.6 might correct this as 10.6.0 was known for some instability and issues with user accounts as well.

i would try something simple you might have to go to a apple store.

you need to have them run a hardware diagnostic on the machine..

the reason why is the hardware diagnostic would let you know if the processor is faulty if not!!!

then i would recommend a new mac mini it would be cheaper then trying to fix the machine..
