|
|
So I purchased this Hauppauge! WinTV - HVR Hybrid TV Stick 950Q recently and have come to learn that is not going to work. I was planning to set up dual recording with this and an EyeTV stick but learned after I purchased this that the EyeTV software isn't smart enough to program record from two different tuners (how lame is that?).
Anyway it is used and works perfectly fine. Includes the stick (which connects via USB) a remote and a small portable antenna. Full info here:

Works on Mac with EyeTV software. _________________ visit my blog coregeek |

Of course it can. I have that tuner as well as
a Pinnacle a couple a' Hybride's and two 250 Plus's.
They work just fine. I can plug them all in at one
time and have. They will and do all work. Here's
your LINK. Scroll down to Hauppauge
The only thing you can't do is tell which tuner
to record which show. Its random. Why would
you want to control which tuner works with which
channel? I'm glad you asked. Some tuners work
better with one channel and not another and
EyeTV won't at this time let you choose. Its a
known problem. Its been a problem since EyeTV 2
and probably longer. _________________ 2011 Mac mini 2.7 GHz i7 with

Yes the Happauge tuner works fine with EyeTV, that was not the problem. The issue I had was the one you described. It was a problem for me because I have two different sources each with its own tuner (they both don't receive the same channels.) So without the ability to control which tuner would record a specific channel it was a no go. I was not aware of EyeTV's limitation in this matter until after I purchase this second tuner. Thanks for your input. _________________ visit my blog coregeek |
