I saw this screensaver yesterday over at osxdaily.com, and thought I would pass along a link. I'm sure some of you have seen it before, but it's still cool. I downloaded it on my MBP and it's very nice. It's the Snowfall screensaver.

Here's a screenshot of the screensaver in action on my MBP. I provided the background image, and the screensaver added the snowflakes.

That is a nice screensaver. Looks about like London, Ontario looks right now with all the lake effect snow they've been getting. I hope Peterborough looks like that by Christmas time. _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT

Hi Wayne,
How do you provide or add your background image to the screensavor? Thanks |
1. Right click (control+click) on an open space on your desktop.
2. Click on "Change Desktop Background".
3. Click on "Screen Saver".
4. On the left side of the screen saver dialog box, scroll to the bottom where you should see "Snowfall". Select "Snowfall", then click "Options".
5. You should see an option for selecting a background image of your choosing.
Hope that helps. _________________ Silence is golden, but duct tape is silver. |

Wayne, I tried, but only had no success on step 5. When I open "Options" panel, the only thing I can do is check the box for a background image and the image shown there is just a plain gray; no way to change that image or select one in my computer. Any help? Tks. |

Try double-clicking the image to change it. _________________ Silence is golden, but duct tape is silver. |
