I am using a Ministack with my Mac Mini in a home theatre arrangement. Works fine, but when I try to plug a USB thumb drive into the side ports to transfer some files from another Mac, it is not recognized. USB drive works fine using the rear ports of the Ministack.
Has anyone else had this problem? |

A lot of us have had ministack problems, Thus it is a piece of gear that has fallen out of favor a bit on this site.

Are you using fire wire from your mac to your mini stack? If you are i think you can only use fire wire from other devices. This may be your problem.

There is a little connector for the side port inside the ministack. Plug it back in securely and your side port will work again (I had this issue).
