I am going to dip my toes into HTPC, as i recently moved my computer station next to my 56" samsung dlp.
My question is about cabling, and what connections to make. Currently using mini-dvi to DVI to connect my 24" dell display.
This leaves the displayport open, so i am thinking i would order a mini-displayport to HDMI cable, as well as an optical to mini-optical cable.
I would run the DP to hdmi cable to my samsung DLP, and the optical to my AVR and set up a new activity with my harmony remote. Or i may run both the AVR and let the AVR deal with the video signal...
It can't possibly be this easy can it? |

That's exactly what I do, works like a charm. Simple as that. Monoprice is great for cabling, adapters, etc., far as prices go. _________________ Mac Pro 4,1 12GB ram
