I am using a generic Logitech USB mouse but I am on the hunt for something else. I tried a Trackpad and liked it a lot but not sure I want one just yet. What are you all using?

I've been using the same Logitech MX510 for what seems like forevers now.

Before that I was using a MS Intellimouse. One of the old big ones that were really comfortable to use.

Before that - the Apple teardrop ADB mice. I think the Logitech ones were better than the Mitsui ones as they had a bit of weight to them, where the Mitsui ones were really light. Before that I used the angular ADB mice. They just aren't very comfortable, and a bit small for me.

And before that, the big old Apple Mouse that came with the preADB Macs.

Before that, I think we used chisels and slates! Laughing

I have been using a cheap microsoft mouse with a scroll wheel for a few years. My friend just bought me a Apple magic track pad and I love it.

Apple Magic Mouse. It is a battery eater, though.

Logitech Performance MX. Only downside is that I can't stand the unresponsiveness when it's wireless. So, I keep the USB cord connected all the time and it works fine.

For my Mini a MS wireless laser mouse and for the iMac an Apple older wired mouse with the clear plastic.

I use a Logitech MX Revolution. I've been spoiled by the MicroGear wheel to the point that any other mouse feels lacking. I'm itching to try out a Magic Trackpad, though.

magic trackpad, I LOVE it! It's the best thing since pockets! Smooth as silk and I haven't found one app that it doesn't work in......

Since our Mini is an HTMac (or HTPC Wink ), I'm using this wireless Logitech Trackman Wheel:

Works great while on the sofa. More comfortable that the ones with the wheel on the fingers instead of thumb, because of the angle of the hand while using it.

Magic Mouse with rechargeable batteries. Works great for sofa surfing in my HTPC set up. Tried the Magic Trackpad but did not work as well for me. I see a company is selling a platform charger for the Magic Mouse, looks very interesting. you just set the mouse on it.

I use the Apple Magic Mouse with my Mini. I need a Bluetooth mouse as I use the Mini as a HT-Mac. The multi touch surface of the Magic Mouse is almost track-pad like, but it works fine as a regular mouse too. My only complaint with the mouse is that both ends of it look and feel the same, so is sometimes upside-down on occasion, and it takes me a second to figure this out (my cursor going the wrong way is the first clue).

I've used several mice with it, and I do advise if you are going wireless, go Bluetooth. RF wireless mice are generally very short range, so won't work well with a HT setup.

I use the aluminum Apple Wireless Keyboard as well, which is a great unit. If I had to do it over again, I'd buy the 4-pack of Apple Rechargeable AA Batteries along with their charger for $29. They last so much longer than my NiMH rechargeable AA's.

I also use a Logitech Performance MX, but haven't noticed any issues when using it wirelessly. In fact I really like it and ended up buying another one to use on my work computer.
