|
|
Wondered if anyone might be able to help me solve a problem.
I am trying to connect my Mac Mini HTPC to an oldish projector (Epson TW200) which has 720p highest resolution.
I have a cable to output DVI from the Mac to component cable input on the projector.
I have set the display output on the Mac to 720p from the usual setting to try and match the native resolution on the projector, but no success.
I have tried alternating the projector setting from RGB, YCrCb and YPrPb.
The projector says 'Not Supported'. On the RGB setting it tells me 'Not Supported, H: 11.24 Khz, V: 366.79 Hz'
Any ideas? I thought maybe trying VGA to VGA cables as a next option but before I go and buy a loooong VGA to VGA cable, is there anything else to make the component cables work?
Appreciate any help.
Thanks |

HERE's the spec's. HERE's the instruction
book, go to page 6. I don't think you can
get to there from here. If you look at the
back of the projector the VGA port needs
and RGB signal. I have a PICO LED Projector.
I thought I could just get a cable with the
correct connectors on it and Presto Changeo
I would have an Image. Didn't work. It
may work for you. Its fairly inexpensive
to try. Just need an inexpensive cable
with the correct connecters on either end.
I ended up having to purchase a Signal
Converter. You could try THIS Cable but
I think you'll probably have to buy one
of THESE like I had to. Maybe not?
I suspect your projector will be like my
PICO. If you look at the complaints
for VGA to RGB cables not working is
because they need a Signal Converter
and not just a cable with the correct
connecters. _________________ 2011 Mac mini 2.7 GHz i7 with
