I want to wish all the staff and members of 123Macmini.com a Happy New Year!
Let's hope Apple comes out with some new and exciting products in 2011 and the forum keeps attracting new members while keeping the old. I now a lot of us have went through changes over the past year and so has the mini, but the one thing we all still have in common is a passion for quality products and the desire to share that passion with like minded individuals. Let's keep the ball rolling.
Best wishes everyone!!! Have a safe celebration. |

Happy new year everybody. We've got Lion to look forward to and maybe some other new innovations from Apple. Regardless, I hope everyone will continue to enjoy their Mac mini.

By your specs (G4 macs), it looks like you are deserving of a new Mac. A mini with Lion pre-installed would be a nice update. |

Happy New Year to All, and thanks to the staff at mac mini!!!
I am a fairly new member and have learned an awful lot about the mini reading here and doing the mods. I thank everyone for sharing their knowledge.
I can't wait for new gear to come out to get conversation started here again, it has been a little slow here lately. I would love to see members complaining that the new is to powerful to handle!!

This will be great...so far the new year is heading in the right direction for me. I've just got a new job back in the computer support field, even though it is part time to start. Now I'll work towards getting that new Mini! _________________ G4 Mac Mini | 1.25ghz | 1gb | 40gb | OS X 10.4.11 | 37" Westinghouse HDTV

Congrats man! I got stepped up on my job last year. I'm now a field manager over 18 guys. I don't where I'm going from here, but the bump in pay sure helped last year. |

| Thanks Bandit. How are things going for you these days? I think you were finishing up with school the last time we talked, right? |

I finished school and received my Business (Marketing) diploma. I'm happy about that. I then started work for Canadian Pacific Railways, I hated it and quit last week. I start a job as a Safety Technician on Monday. I'm not sure if I will like it, but it will certainly be much safer than working for the railway.
I've been trying to get technical field service oilfield work, but I'm not having much luck. Most companies aren't hiring, or they want guys with dual tickets electrician/instrumentation 10+ years experience etc.
At least I'll be back in the oilfield industry. Hopefully I will enjoy the Safety Technician position. If not, once you are in the industry working, you quickly hear about opportunities. I'm happy to be working.
I'm really happy for you and your promotion. Hopefully this will allow you to stick with your company until retirement. |
