I have a Mac mini with both Plex and Boxee, and at least 50 movies and 65 TV shows in my Movies folder. With the advent of AirPlay; the upcoming ATVFlash; and possibility of iOS apps for Apple TV, would there be any advantages to purchasing an Apple TV? _________________ Regards,

Since you already own a Mini, I would say no. Other's opinions might differ though... _________________ My home setup |

I use both the mini and the atv. I simply would not have a mini as a media server in my living room. The atv is much more convenient and even the kids (small) can use it. They wouldn't be able to use the mini to watch their movies.
The atv is great at what it does: enable you to watch movies & tv stored on your mini without a keyboard or any other paraphernalia apart from the tiny apple remote in your living room. Expect the atv to do anything else and you'll be disappointed.
It works perfectly like this for me, but if I was the kind of person that was happy to have a keyboard, mouse and computer in my living room then I'd probably go for the mini.
